هَمَأَ, aor. ـَ, (Ḳ,) inf. n. هَمْءٌ; (TA;) andاهمأ↓; (Ḳ;) He rent, (Ḳ,) i. e., pulled so that it tore, (TA,) a garment: (Ḳ:) he wore out, or rendered threadbare, [and ragged]. (Ḳ.)
