1. (نكف)

نَكِفَ مِنَالشَّىْءِ, aor. ـَ,; inf. n. نَكَفٌ; and نَكَفَ, aor. ـُ; andاستنكف↓; He abstained from, or refused to do, the thing, from disdain and pride. (Mṣb.)


5. (تنكّف)

تَنَكَّفَ بِمَوْضِعِ كَذَا [He waited, &c.,] i. q. تَلَيَّثَ. (TA in art. صقر, from the “Nawádir.”)


10. (استنكف)

اِسْتَنْكَفَ مِنْهُ (KL,* MA) He disdained, or scorned, it; was ashamed of it. (KL, MA.) See 1.
