صَالَ, aor. يَصِيلُ, i. q. صال having for its aor. يَصُولُ, (Ibn-ʼAbbád, O, Ḳ,) i. e. He (a man) leaped or sprang [&c.]. (Ibn-ʼAbbád, O.)

صِيلَ لَهُمْ كَذَا, (Ṣ and Ḳ in art. صول,) or لَهُ, (Ibn-ʼAbbád and O and Ḳ in the present art.,) Such a thing was appointed, or ordained, or prepared, for them, or for him. (Ibn-ʼAbbád, Ṣ, O, Ḳ.) This is its proper place. (TA.)

صِيلَةٌ The knot of the عَذَبَة [i. e. of the end, or of the suspensory thong, of a whip]. (Ṣ and Ḳ in art. صول, and O in the present art.)
