Also A sort of truffle, (AḤn, TA,) smaller than the عُرْجُون, (JK, AḤn, Ḳ, TA,) the shortest thereof (AḤn, TA) found in sands and meadows; (JK, AḤn, Ḳ, TA;) it is good, (AḤn, TA,) and seldom becomes black (JK, AḤn, TA) while fresh; (JK;) and it is the sort of which the head is like a مِظَلَّة [q. v.]: (AḤn, TA:) pl. دَمَالِيقُ. (JK.)

مُدَمْلَقٌ, applied to a stone, (JK, Ṣ, Ḳ,) and to a solid hoof, like مُدَمْلَكٌ and مُدَمْلَجٌ, (Ṣ,) andدُمَالِقُ↓ (JK, Ḳ) andدُمَلِقٌ↓ (Ḳ) andدَمْلَقٌ↓ (JK, TA) andدُمْلُوقٌ↓, (JK, Ḳ,) Smooth and round: (Ṣ, Ḳ:) or very round: (JK:) or, accord. to Aboo-Kheyreh, دُمْلُوقٌ↓ signifies a stone smooth like the hand, and, some add, hard: the pl. [of دُمَالِقٌ and دُمَلِقٌ and دَمْلَقٌ] is دَمَالِقُ and [that of دُمْلُوقٌ is] دَمَالِيقُ. (TA.)
