خَاتَ, aor. يَخِيتُ, (IAạr,) inf. n. خَيْتٌ and خُيُوتٌ, (IAạr, Ḳ,) and inf. n. of un. خَيْتَةٌ, (IAạr,) He made a sound, syn. صَوَّتَ; (IAạr, Ḳ;*) [app. with his wings, in pouncing down, or making a stoop; see 1 in art. خوت;] said of a bird. (IAạr.)
