جَعَفَهُ, (Ṣ, Ḳ,) aor. ـَ {يَجْعَفُ}, (Ḳ,) inf. n. جَعْفٌ, (TA,) He prostrated him; threw him down upon the ground; (Ṣ, Ḳ;) cast him upon the gronnd; like جَعَبَهُ; (TA;) namely, a man; (Ṣ;) as alsoاجعفهُ↓. (Ibn-ʼAbbád, Ḳ.)
