هبث مَالَهُ, aor. ـُ {يَهْبُثُ}, inf. n. هَبْثٌ, He scattered, or squandered, his property. (L.)

هَنْبَثَةٌ A severe, difficult, or afflictive, affair: (Ṣ, Ḳ:) pl. هَنَابِثُ: the ن is an augmentative letter. (TA.) The pl. also signifies calamities: and confused affairs and news. (TA.)
