فَشَأَ, (O, Ḳ,) aor. ـَ, (Ḳ,) [inf. n. فَشْءٌ;] as alsoافشأ↓; He magnified himself; or behaved proudly, or haughtily: (O, Ḳ:) [or he gloried, or boasted: for] الفَشْءُ is from الفَخْرُ, (Ibn-Buzurj, O,) [or] syn. with الفَخْرُ. (Ḳ.)
